Ulrich Bojarksi - 2017-18 Perth Heat

Bojarski is South African born youngster who moved to Western Australia as a toddler and who considers himself an Aussie. He was signed by the Detroit Tigers organisation in 2016, playing with the Perth Heat in 2016-17 and 2017-18. In 2017 Bojarski played Rookie level ball with the GCL Tigers West team, before starting to move up into Single and Advanced A level ball in 2018.

Justin Erasmus - 2014-15 Brisbane Bandits

Following his move from the Bandits to the Aces for the 2013-14 ABL season, Erasmus returned to the Bandits for the 2014-15 ABL season. I was in two minds about what flag to put on Erasmus' card. He was born in South Africa, but raised in Brisbane. You'd automatically put him down as an Aussie then. He has however represented both Australia and South Africa in baseball. In 2014 he also played independent ball in the USA, playing for both the Schaumburg Boomers in the Frontier League and the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks in the American Association.

Alessio Angelucci - 2012-13 Sydney Blue Sox

Despite his rather Italian sounding heritage, Angelucci is actually a South African, born in Johannesburg and a member of the South African team at the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He spent three years in the San Diego Padres minors system between 2008-10, reaching low A level ball.

He pitched 2.1 innings of relief over 2 games for the Blue Sox in the 2011-12 season, before returning as an outfielder for the 2012-13 season.
