Victorian youngster Silva is a member of the New York Yankees organisation. He has been on the cusp of selection with the Melbourne Aces over the last couple of summers but was unable to secure a debut in the ABL with them. He took his chances in the inaugural
ABL Australian Draft held earlier this year and was drafted by the Canberra Cavalry for the 2014-15 ABL season.
Recovering from injury, Silva played a handful of games for the Yankees in 2014, firstly for the Rookie level Gulf Coast League Yankees, and then a single game with the Dominican Summer League Yankees. He's since made his ABL debut with Canberra.
