Tai Shan Chang (張泰山) - 2017-18 Adelaide Bite

Chang is a Taiwanese import who played with the Adelaide Bite during the 2017-18 ABL season. Chang is a legend back in Taiwan, holding the record for home runs and hits in the CPBL in his 20 year (1996-2015) career. He played for the Tokushima Indigo Socks of the independent Shikoku Island League in Japan in 2016 before signing with Adelaide for the ABL season.

Gavin Fingleson - 2017-18 Sydney Blue Sox

Fingleson is a veteran Australian player who came out of retirement at the age of 41 to make his debut in the current ABL with the Sydney Blue Sox during the 2017-18 ABL season. He debuted in the original incarnation of the ABL back in the 1994-95 season, playing with the Canberra Bushrangers. He would end up playing 80 games with 3 clubs across the original ABL and IBLA between 1995 and 2001. He would also play 4 seasons of independent baseball in the USA between 1999 and 2004.

Fingleson was originally born in South Africa but moved to Australia when 11 years old. He was a member of Australia's 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist winning team and has represented Australia in our Baseball World Cup and World baseball Classic teams.

Matt Dixon - 2017-18 Perth Heat

Dixon returned to the Perth Heat for his sixth season season during the 2017-18 ABL season.

Allan de San Miguel - 2017-18 Melbourne Aces

Following his move from Perth to the Aces the previous season, "Desan" returned in 2017-18 to Melbourne for his second season there, and his eighth overall in the ABL. He hasn't looked as happy when he's been in a Melbourne uniform - a Heat uniform suits him much better :)

Frank Gailey - 2017-18 Canberra Cavalry

Gailey is an American import who played with the Canberra Cavalry during the 2017-18 ABL season,. He spent eight years in the minor leagues between 2007 and 2014, splitting time between the Toronto, Philadelphia and Oakland organisations. Since 2015 he's been playing with the York Revolution in the independent Atlantic League.

Connor Panas - 2017-18 Canberra Cavalry

Panas is a Canadian import from the Toronto Blue Jays organisation who played with the Canberra Cavalry during the 2017-18 ABL season, In 2017 he played with the Dunedin Blue Jays, Toronto's advanced A affiliate in the Florida State League. In 2018 he has moved up to the double A level New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
