Travis Witherspoon - 2017-18 Canberra Cavalry

Witherspoon is an American import who played with the Canberra Cavalry during the 2017-18 ABL season. He arrived half way through the season, replacing former Major Leaguer Ryan Kalish who was released to play in Puerto Rico. Witherspoon spent eight seasons in the minor leagues, primarily with the LA Angels, but also had stints with the Seattle Mariners' and LA Dodgers' farm systems. In 2017 he played with the York Revolution in the independent Atlantic League, alongside Cavalry team mates Michael Click and Frank Gailey. He returned to the Revolution in 2018 following his Canberra cameo.

Matt Williams - 2017-18 Adelaide Bite

The one thing I lament about Williams' move from Sydney to Adelaide a number of seasons ago is that I never seem to be able to get good shots of him since he's been at Adelaide, whereas he was one of my more "photogenic" players at Sydney. Oh well, such is life. The 2017-18 ABL season was Williams' eight in the league and his fifth with the Bite.

Jacob Younis - 2017-18 Sydney Blue Sox

At the age of 25 Younis is already an ABL and Blue Sox veteran. Maintaining his place on the Sydney roster for the 2017-18 ABL season, Younis has now had eight years in the ABL with Sydney, and could potentially be around for years to come..

Dave Kandilas - 2017-18 Canberra Cavalry

The move from Sydney to Canberra the previous season was obviously a positive for the Kandi-man as his seventh ABL season in 2017-18 - his second with Canberra - proved to be his most productive ABL season to date as he became a major offensive cog for Canberra.
