Beau Bishop - 2013-14 Adelaide Bite

Bishop is a New Zealander who comes to the Adelaide Bite via an unusual route. Bishop was signed by the Boston Red Sox as a baseballing project back in 2011. I say he was signed as a project as at that point he was a 17 year old softballer who had been selected for New Zealand's national softball team.

Bishop spent 2011 in the Major League Baseball Australia Academy Program on the Gold Coast, before debuting with the Rookie level GCL Red Sox in 2012.  Bishop had a further two games with the GCL Red Sox in 2013 before being released by Boston.
