Mitch Dening - 2016-17 Adelaide Bite

Dening played his sixth ABL season and his second with the Adelaide Bite during the 2016-17 ABL season. Dening missed out on play during 2015-16, instead spending 2015 playing with the Yakult Swallows in Japan's NPB.

Mitch Dening - 2014-15 Adelaide Bite

One of the big moves in the off season was former Sydney Blue Sox player Mitch Dening following former team mate Matt Williams from the Blue Sox over to the Adelaide Bite. Dening had been with the Blue Sox since the inaugural ABL season, but was headhunted by the Bite for the 2014-15 ABL season to add some power hitting to their lineup.

Dening had spent 2014 playing for Niigata Albirex in Japan's independent Baseball Challenge League.

Mitch Dening - 2013-14 Sydney Blue Sox

Continuing with the Team Australia (oops, Southern Thunder) theme, Dening crossed the plate during the Australia vs LA Dodgers game last Thursday, becoming the first score against the Dodgers that evening.

Dening has played all four ABL seasons with the Sydney Blue Sox. This is my 2014-14 ABL season card design for him.

Mitch Dening - 2011-12 Sydney Blue Sox

Dening is originally from Gosford, NSW, and has been on the Blue Sox roster for both ABL seasons to date. He was signed to the Boston Red Sox organisation as a 17YO youngster where he played between 2007-2011, reaching AA level before being released during Spring Training earlier this year. He managed to pick up a short stint with the Washington WildThings in the independent Frontier League for part of the 2012 season.
