Dustin Crenshaw - 2014-15 Canberra Cavalry

Crenshaw is an American import who played with the Canberra Cavalry during the 2014-15 ABL season. Crenshaw had three years experience in American independent leagues before coming to the ABL, his most recent being with the Gary SouthShore RailCats in the American Association. In 2015 he has commenced playing with the St Paul Saints, also in the American Association.

Sam Holland - 2014-15 Brisbane Bandits

Brisbane born Holland is a member of the San Diego Padres organisation, having debuted with their Rookie level team in 2013, and spending 2014 with the Eugene Emeralds, the Padres low A level affiliate in the Northwest League. Holland made his ABL debut in the 2014-15 ABL season with his hometown Brisbane Bandits. I'm presuming the backpack he was carrying onto the ground in this shot had something to do with his status as a rookie on the Bandits team.

Tony Vocca - 2014-15 Adelaide Bite

Vocca is an American import who played for the Adelaide Bite during the 2014-15 ABL season. Vocca stated that he was recommended for the ABL by scouts for the Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers. He had previously taken a break during 2014 following a stint in "independent baseball in Phoenix" (couldn't find exact details about this) in 2013, following three years of University ball.  In 2015 he is playing with the Florence Freedom in the independent Frontier League.

Dae-Sung Koo (구대성) - 2014-15 Sydney Blue Sox

Old man Koo continues to rack up the years in baseball, marking his fifth season with the Sydney Blue Sox during the 2014-15 ABL season. He'll be turning 46 in August, so it'll be interesting to see if he saddles up again in 2015-16.

McKenzie Acker - 2014-15 Perth Heat

American born Acker played as an import for the Perth Heat during the 2014-15 ABL season. His only other semi-professional appearance was a handful of games for the Douglas Diablos in the independent Pecos League in 2014. Prioo to that he had been playing at university - firstly with the University of Washington (2012), before playing for Seattle University in early 2014 whilst studying his Master's degree.

Although his first name is McKenzie, it appears that he also goes by Mac.

Matt Wilson - 2014-15 Melbourne Aces

South Australian born Wilson made the move from the Canberra Cavalry, where he made his ABL debut, pitching two innings in the 2013-14 ABL season, across to the Melbourne Aces for the 2014-15 ABL season. He didn't have the best of seasons - compiling a 1-6 Win/Loss record, but he did at least break the "2 game" hoodoo, playing in 19 games. Not the best picture of him either - he always seems to be making weird faces when I get shots of him ... at least the photo captures his helmet juggling skills ...

Justin Erasmus - 2014-15 Brisbane Bandits

Following his move from the Bandits to the Aces for the 2013-14 ABL season, Erasmus returned to the Bandits for the 2014-15 ABL season. I was in two minds about what flag to put on Erasmus' card. He was born in South Africa, but raised in Brisbane. You'd automatically put him down as an Aussie then. He has however represented both Australia and South Africa in baseball. In 2014 he also played independent ball in the USA, playing for both the Schaumburg Boomers in the Frontier League and the Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks in the American Association.

Vaughan Harris - 2014-15 Sydney Blue Sox

Harris returned to the Sydney Blue Sox for his fifth ABL season in 2014-15. Unfortunately for him, it was the worst of his ABL seasons to date - compiling a-3 record and an ERA of 11.70 from only six games pitched.
